This has to be one of the best award shows to attend!
If you have an eclectic ear, the GRAMMY Awards are right up your alley! The performances, collaborations, and winners cover every genre out there – music is a great way of bringing the world together (in my opinion).
While history was made with two female country newcomers in the overall Best New Artist category, neither Kelsea Ballerini nor Maren Morris walked away with the award. The Recording Academy rewarded Chance the Rapper with that one (along with Best Rap Album…that’s pretty huge!)
The biggest piece of hardware anyone could walk away with at the GRAMMY Awards is Album of the Year. That went to the shows opener, Adele! Her album “25” got the nod on that one and it also gave her Best Record and Best Song for “Hello”.
As for our country artists, how about Maren Morris?! She performed with Alicia Keys and finished the night with her very first GRAMMY, taking home the award for Best Country Solo performance on “My Church”. Another country highlight came from Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood, who performed their latest duet “The Fighter”.
