Kenny Chesney has a new video out today for his song “Rich and Miserable,” a song from his latest album Cosmic Hallelujah.
His song talks about going to school in order to get an education; then using that education to make money, and become powerful and successful. Because that is what society is taught to chase in life. But these things don’t guarantee happiness. The lyrics say:
“Enough is never enough.. We won’t be happy til we’re rich and miserable.”
The video shows the positive side of the song when a professor asks his students to think about what really makes them happy in life so they don’t end up “rich and miserable” after they graduate, and think that chasing money will make them happy.
