Timing means everything and this Dad was right on time!
Baseball – it’s America’s favorite past time and one of the best sports to get in some Father & Son bonding time. This story goes up a level thanks to Conrad Gregor – a 22-year old first baseman for the Quad Cities River Bandits – a Minor League team affiliated with the Houston Astros.
On Saturday, Conrad played a home game with the Bandits and with it being Memorial Day weekend, his family was in town – driving in from Carmel Indiana to see him play. So, the family’s in town … gotta have the “A” game on, right? Right!
Conrad stepped up to the plate in the top of the 6th and SMOKED one over the wall in right center. Perfect! The story gets better – that ball he hit over the wall ended up being caught by his biggest fan:
Marty Gregor, Conrad’s Dad, not only caught his sons home run, but his sons first home run of the season. The River Bandits won the game but I think the highlight on Saturday afternoon was the Father/Son moment that happened between home plate and right center.
