Amber Gale is small town Missouri, born and raised. Salisbury, MO is where her roots were laid. Growing up in a small town, Amber Gale always had dreams bigger than her town: from being a pastry chef to Broadway performer to stylist for stars to ESPN sideline reporter. She never thought radio would be were she’d end up until she started college at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
When she was little, Amber Gale always loved country music. She would dance around singing Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance” and LeAnn Rimes’ “Blue”. She got her first solo in her 2nd Grade performance in Three Billy Goats Gruff, after that her love for performing never stopped. Performing in tons of talent shows and local competition lead her to eventually try for her life long dream of being a country music star by auditioning for NBC’s The Voice.
After two No’s Amber Gale put a pause on her singing dreams to pursue a career a little more realistic while she works on her Radio/TV Broadcasting degree through the School of Journalism at Mizzou. She has fallen in love with radio, and knows now this is always where she was suppose to be, because as they say “if you’re doing what you love, you never work a day in your life.”
Amber Gale is also a fluid concertgoer. After going to her first concert in early elementary school—she doesn’t recall who the headliner was, but Kenny Chesney was there and, at that age, that was really all that mattered. Now she attends as many as her wallet will allow her!
Her favorite concert experience, so far, was when she spontaneously road tripped to Springfield, MO, to see Tyler Farr, Florida Georgia Line, and Jason Aldean with her best friend.
Besides music, Amber Gale loves sports and played softball throughout her childhood until she graduated. She is a huge Mizzou Tigers and Kansas City Chiefs fan!
Amber Gale also enjoys traveling, and hopes to visit all 50 states and 6 of the 7 continents (Antarctica is way too cold).
