Brody Griffith I Virtual Fair

With so many local fairs being canceled this year we thought it would be good to feature the projects local FFA and 4-H members have been working so hard on all year.

Brody Griffith- This is Brody Griffith, age 6, from Centralia and his bucket calf, Knuckles. This was his first year in 4H Clover Kids, F, and L Hustlers. Brody used his own money to purchase 2 bucket calves in March to show at the County Fairs this Summer. He named them Sonic and Knuckles. He was responsible for bottle feeding, teaching them to eat grain and hay, halter breaking, grooming, and caring for these animals over the last several months. Brody developed a special bond with these guys and learned a great deal of responsibility. He spent hours leading them around the yard getting ready for his big shows. He was able to show both calves, with the help of his buddy Klyde, at the Centralia Fair and Audrain County Fair. According to Brody, his first show was the “best day of his life!” Brody is already looking forward to buying more calves to show at the County Fairs next year and gaining more knowledge and experience of working with livestock.
