Today is veterans day and John Rich wants people to know that they owe their freedoms to those “people that love this country enough to die for it.”
John has donated over $200,000 to “Folds Of Honor,” which has provided over 400 scholarships to children and spouses of fallen and disabled service members. He said he wanted to make sure that military families didn’t “fall through the cracks” after a family member dies or becomes disabled in active duty.
This year’s CMA Entertainer of the Year nominees include Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, and the lone female, Carrie Underwood.
She said, “I personally feel like entertainer. It’s everything, right? So, I feel like people kind of narrow it down to tours, but I feel like there’s so many more components to it. And, you know, I’m blessed and lucky to be nominated, obviously, and fantastic company. It would be amazing, but of course, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want it. Sorry, boys!”
Carrie will also play host once again during the live CMA Awards broadcast on Wednesday in Nashville. The show will air live on ABC at 7p.
