Blake Shelton just earned his 26th career Number One!

His latest single, “God’s Country,” earned the top spot this week.

Blake said, “When I first heard the song I thought it sounded like a remedy. Like a cure. It just sounds like a missing link in country music for the last 10 or 12 years. It feels like a combination of ‘Ole Red’ and ‘Country Boy Can Survive’ to me which definitely have a place in country music.

Devin Dawson and newcomer Hardy co-wrote the song.

Sesame Street turns 50 this November. Last month, the show launched a 10-week birthday party, with a touring stage show and festival. Next stop? Kansas City! This fall, according to Vulture,  producer Sesame Workshop and Shout! Factory’s kids unit will release Sesame Street: 50 Years and Counting, a DVD and digital collection of the show’s greatest hits. The two-disc set will include celebrity guest appearances, from R.E.M. to Amy Poehler, to Patti LaBelle.
