COUNTRY FEED: Carly Pearce | Thomas Rhett

Carly Pearce: a crazy cat lady?

Carly posted a hilarious clip to Instagram where she is walking down a street in Alabama on a beautiful sunny day… with her cat, Emmylou, on a leash in one hand and a glass of red wine in the other! Red wine that is.

Luke Combs’ fiancé replied with, “I’ve never related more.”

We see a meme coming..

Thomas Rhett has two big hits flying up the country charts: “Beer Can’t Fix” with Jon Pardi and “Be A Light,” which features Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum, and contemporary Christian singer Chris Tomlin.

“Be A Light” was never intended to be a radio single, but rather a message that needed to be heard by the world during this unsettling time.

Thomas said, “I’d had this title written in my phone, ‘in a world full of hate the light,’ and I think it came a little bit from the Bible verse talking about ‘a lamp on a hill should not be hidden’ – just being a light in a dark place. And for some reason I just was looking at Instagram and Twitter and all this stuff, just seeing so much hatred and people commentin’ on people’s stuff, just being super negative, and it drove me nuts.  And I think at this point in time, I was like, man instead of like addressing the meanness and the negativity, why don’t we just address for people just to be kind.”

Proceeds from the song benefits MusiCares COVID-19 relief fund.
