Hand in Hand: A Benefit For Hurricane Relief Telethon

Last nights Hand in Hand: A Benefit For Hurricane Relief Telethon raised more than $14.5 million in the FIRST hour.

The fundraiser aired live from Nashville, Los Angeles, New York City and San Antonio. Newscasters, actors/actresses, talk show hosts, sports players and singers in country, pop, rap and other genres all came together to take calls and raise money for those affected by the recent hurricanes.

The night featured a few star-studded performances including Blake Shelton and Usher with a duet of “Stand By Me” in Nashville. Brad Paisley teamed up with Darius Rucker, Demi Lovato and CeCe Winans to perform a Beetles classic. And George Straight closed out the night with Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton and others in San Antonio.

When the hour event was over, more than $14.5 million had been raised, but they continued to take calls and that number grew to a total of MORE THAN $44 million!
