Miranda Lambert Helping Displaced Dogs Find Homes After Tornado

Miranda Lambert is praising her fans for helping raise money for displaced dogs affected by the Nashville tornado.

Miranda is working with Nashville’s Metro Animal Center, which is taking in displaced dogs after the tornados hit Nashville and the surrounding areas. The shelter is expected to “get quite a bit of an increase on the intake of displaced dogs and strays over the next couple of weeks, after dogs come out of hiding, and the noise dies down from the storms,” according to Miranda’s Instagram post:

Miranda’s Mutt Nation Foundation teamed up with local companies and raised $11,000 in less than 24 hours for these shelters and strays.

As of the morning of March 10th, a donation total of over $31,000 had been raised! Their goal is $37,500, which will become $75,000 after Mutt Nation Foundation, Tractor Supply Co. and Generous match those donations.
