Nominate Mid-MO’s “Teacher of the Year!”

It’s been said, “The influence of a good teacher can never be erased.” We agree, but too often, teachers tend to fly under the radar as the unsung heroes of society.

Well, this month, we’ve teamed up with Joe Machens Volkswagen of Columbia to honor some of the amazing teachers we have here in Mid-MO. Eventually, we’ll name one local teacher as THE “Teacher of the Year” & they’ll take home a 3-year lease on a 2019 VW Jetta

Here’s how it works:

  • From October 1st – 12th, submit your nomination.
  • From October 15th – 28th, you’ll have a chance to come back & VOTE on your favorite Top 10 finalist. (You can vote once per hour!)
  • On October 29th, one winner will be announced on-location at Joe Machens Volkswagen of Columbia!

GRAND PRIZE: One 3-year lease on a 2019 VW Jetta S from Joe Machens Volkswagen of Columbia!* (*See Contest Rules for further details.)

She is an amazing person in the room and outside the class room to her students. Supports the sports program and teaches across the many grades for the school.

  3. I think mrs hill from Harrisburg elementary. She made such an impact on oldest some when she had him in her class

  4. Erin Snelling – Hallsville High School

  5. Justin Conyers’s is a mentor and role model for our adolescents.

  6. Just wanting to vote for Chris Gares! An AWESOME teacher, but so much more than that… probably the best person I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Just saying…He’s not only an great dad to his kids, but a faithful and loving husband that adores his wife while juggling his commitment to coaching, teaching and pushing kids to be the best they can be while supporting their political and religious views while giving and getting respect for his own. He’s loved by not only his peers, teachers, administration and fellow coaches, but more importantly the kids (and their parents!)… A true class act, MIZZOU-Loving and loyal, genuine friend to everyone he meets.
