The estranged husband of singer Sara Evans has been arrested for allegedly trying to run her over.Harry “Jay” Barker has been charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, following an incident in Nashville. Sara was leaving a neighbor’s party and was being driven by a friend when she passed her driveway and saw Barker parked there. According to WIAT, she then saw him “backing up his vehicle at a high rate of speed attempting to hit them but missed.” Evans and her witness told cops they believed Barker was intentionally trying to hit them.

Barker left the scene before cops arrived, but eventually returned and was arrested. In addition to being charged, he was placed on a 12-hour domestic violence hold at Davidson County Jail in Tennessee. He was released Saturday on $10,000 bond.

Evans and Barker were married in 2008 with the arrest affidavit noting they are separated.
