Scotty’s Poddy: Episode 11 – “Into The Archives” With Garth Brooks

Getting to visit with Garth on the radio is always a big event!

When Garth came out of retirement in 2007 to open up the new Sprint Center in Kansas City, his people did a promotion for one lucky person to get a personal phone call from the superstar.  As it turns out, the winner of the contest was a Clear 99 listener!  The first part of the podcast is our visit from back then with the listener, and the message that Garth left her.

Part two of the poddy is an interview we got to do with Garth as tickets were going on sale for his first ever stadium tour in 2018.  As luck would have it, our scheduled interview was the morning after that year’s eventful CMA Award Show.  Talking to Garth is always exciting, but this was an extra special visit.

Here’s a couple of moments from the 2018 CMA Awards we talked about in the poddy

Garth sings “Stronger Than Me” to Miss Yearwood. (Even though the video says “stranger” than me!)

And the sweet moment when Keith Urban wins Entertainer of the Year.

“Scotty’s Poddy” is available on Apple PodcastsGoogle Podcasts & Spotify too, thanks for checking them out!
