Breaking Down Orangetheory’s Heart Rate Monitors

One of the things that separates Orangetheory from a lot of other gyms in town is their heart rate monitors.

They not only allow you to see how many calories you’re burning but what your heartrate is and what percentage you’re using.

When I first stepped into Orangetheory, I had no idea what all the heartrate zones meant and why I was seeing so many different colors on their television screens.

Coach Jamie breaks down how to properly use the heartrate monitor and what all the zones mean:

As Jamie said, it’s kind of like a game! The monitors help you push yourself and also dial it back down.

The heart rate monitors also allow you to record your workout and track how many calories you’ve burned and how many steps you’ve taken.
