#NationalPorkMonth – Liz Made Bacon Wrapped Jalepeno Poppers

Here’s a great snack to make the next time you’re watching the Chiefs!

October is National Pork Month, and we are celebrating with the Missouri Pork Producers.  Each Monday a different Clear Crew member is bringing in a dish to share and this week was my turn…

My recipe:

You’ll need –

  • ½ cup cream cheese
  • ½ cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 6 jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise, seeds and membranes removed
  • 12 slices bacon

Mix cream cheese and Cheddar cheese together in a bowl until evenly blended. Fill each jalapeño half with cheese mixture. And then wrap each stuffed pepper with a slice of bacon.

You can cook them in the oven, but we like to cook them on the grill. We found wrapping them in tin foil beforehand helps them hold the shape a lot better and you don’t loose as much cheese. Place them on the grill for about 15 minutes or until the bacon is slightly crispy.
