Liz is up next for #NationalPorkMonth!

We’re celebrating National Pork Month with the Missouri Pork Producers!

Every weekend in October a Clear Crew member will fix a dish using Missouri Pork, and we’ll share some pics and the recipe here.

Liz enlisted the help of her husband, Will, and together they made ribs on the grill.

Will took about 2 cups of brown sugar, tablespoon of salt, tablespoon of onion powder, tablespoon of garlic powder, 1/2 tablespoon of smoked paprika, 1/2 tablespoon of Cayenne pepper and mixed all of that together.

He then rubbed mustard all over the ribs. Then rubbed it down with Dijon mustard and then patted on the dry rub seasoning.

They made theirs on a charcoal grill. Will put coals on one side of the grill and started them up. He then put wood chips in a foil packet and poked holes in it to emit smoke. He then put the packet of wood chips on the coals to make it smoke and flavor the meat more.

He then placed the ribs on the non fire side of the grill and closed the lid to start smoke. He made sure the grill stayed around 300 degrees for about 3 hours.

If you’ve never made ribs before…take this as your sign to try it out!
