Smoked Cobbler On The Grill

cobbler wide for clear

I’ve had this recipe for several years, finally got around to it!

I actually got this out of a Hy-Vee magazine and thought it looked good, and looked fun. I was smoking a pork butt for some pulled-pork chili the other day, and the timing seemed right!

This is the recipe I was going off of. Because of availability I changed the fruits a little, and used a few more apples, raspberries and blackberries. We couldn’t find the Pillsbury mix they mentioned, so I just used a box of Jiffy biscuit mix, it worked great!

Whether or not you actually smoke it is up to you. The day I cooked it, I didn’t notice the smoky taste or smell because I had been standing in smoke for a few hours and could smell nothing else! 😄 The next day when I heated some up, I could really smell it. It didn’t smell bad to me, but it didn’t really add a lot to it either.

See what you think, and let me know if you try it! – scotty
