She’s had an up & down career, but she’s one of Scotty’s favorites.
Julie Roberts first came into Country music consciousness in 2004 with the Top 20 hit “Break Down Here”.
Between then and now she got some CMA and ACM nominations, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, disappeared from the Country charts, lost everything she owned in a Nashville flood, and auditioned on “The Voice”, but didn’t get any chairs to turn. After Blake Shelton turned around he recognized her from their early days in Nashville, and introduced her to the other judges and America.
Last fall she released another album titled “Ain’t In No Hurry”. It’s worth a listen!
