Woman Crush Wednesday – Kimberly Perry

She is back with new music, this time without her brothers.

Kimberly Perry was the older sister, and lead singer of her family band The Band Perry, which had a good run of Country hits, awards and more from around 2009-2014.  They had lots of songs on the radio like “If I Die Young”, “Hip To My Heart”, “All Your Life”, “Better Dig Two” and more.

The group went through lots of changes, and tried their hand at other forms of music like pop and EDM (Electronic Dance Music).  But none of those moves ever panned out commercially.

But Kimberly is back, and ready to focus on Country music again.  This week she will release a new EP titled “Bloom”.  The collection includes “If I Die Young Pt.2” which has her climbing the Country charts once again.

Kimberly sat down with People Magazine and talked about what’s going on in her life (including expecting a baby!) and music now.  To this point Country fans and radio have welcomed Kimberly back with open arms, and we’re just glad to have her beautiful and distinctive voice back on Clear 99!
