A First-Time Hot Air Balloon Experience

We went up with Ben from Skyview Balloons, and it was a wonderful experience.  Some thoughts…

• They probably don’t do what you normally think of as “steering”, but they have remarkable control over the balloon.
• They can land these things pretty much anywhere.  We landed in a little field that was no bigger than a normal front yard, and the landing was very soft & easy.
• Our ride was somewhere between 45 minutes and an hour.
• It is beautiful, fun and exciting, but it is not a big “adrenaline rush thrill” type of ride.  Just nice, easy and actually relaxing!
