A few listeners asked, so here’s the recipe!
I actually tore this recipe out of a Hy-Vee Seasons magazine a year or so ago, but just got around to making it. That magazine is worth grabbing a free copy at the store, I’ve gotten a lot of good stuff of it over the years.
Here’s the recipe. For a change, I didn’t take pictures while I was making it but I was happy with the finished product.
The only change I think I made to the recipe was that I used regular ol’ Lite Hy-Vee syrup, as opposed to the Maple Bourbon Syrup called for. I wasn’t worried about the bourbon part, but since I only make pancakes maybe once a year it seemed silly to have another bottle of syrup in my fridge that never gets touched!
I also made my own candied pecans using this basic recipe, but I’ll save that for another post later!
